The Cheese Festival Programme

A delicious feast of events will take place during the Yorkshire Dales Cheese Festival: 23 to 30 September

We have created a fantastic week, celebrating local produce across Yorkshire Dales National Park and Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and look forward to welcoming you along.

Some events you may need to book on, some are free. Please contact the event provider listed below for more information.

Cheese Festival @ Wensleydale Creamery

We kick off with a cracking two-day mini festival you can really get your teeth into.

Saturday 23 to Sunday 24 September will see a celebration of the rich cheese-making heritage of the Yorkshire Dales, as well as shining the spotlight on the array of local cheeses that visitors can now enjoy.

Throughout the weekend, the famous Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes will play host to all things cheese - cheese and butter making demonstrations, cookery demonstrations, cheese grading demonstrations, cheese presentations, cheese pairing and cheese tasting workshops - udderly brilliant!

There will also be the opportunity to meet the suppliers of some of the fantastic produce sold in the Wensleydale Creamery shop, along with local Yorkshire cheese producers and bakers. And for children there will be a play area with bouncy castle and soft play supplied by Wensleydale Inflatables, so they can have fun and get creative.

The Wensleydale Creamery have provided an event schedule for the weekend - please note, that this may be subject to change.

For more information, please contact the Wensleydale Creamery.

Jump on board!

We're pleased to support a FREE special bus service running between the Dales Countryside Museum and Wensleydale Creamery this weekend. Many thanks to Little White Bus!
